SARAH GLEESON
Sarah has been playing music of some sort for the past 15 years. Starting out on guitar as a teenager, she found her writing voice while in college in Cork. On her return to Dublin she played anywhere and everywhere while she honed her song writing skill. Sarah writes pop songs about love, loss, the sea, books and anything else that excites her imagination. Her visual style of lyricism plays on the words and phrases uttered in the hushed moments between lovers and pages, and her unique voice lends a strangely familiar loneliness to her music, even the upbeat numbers. Sarah also provides backing vocals to some of the most exciting acts on the Irish music scene and is thrilled to share the stage with OCHO and Laura Ann Brady on a regular basis. She can also be found dressed up like a Pan Am stewardess when performing with The Avant GardaÃ.
