“Waiting To Happen” is the brand new debut EP from talented singer songwriter, Chris Kestell, better known as A Happy Accident.

The four track EP kicks of with the beautiful “Blood Red Moon”. Chris delivers vocals which enchants you and makes you hang on every word.

“November Confession” may even be more beautiful than the first track. The minimalist guitar is sublime and compliments the lyrical delivery to create a tranquil composition.

“An Honest Waltz” has a quality reminiscent of Bright Eyes or Kimya Dawson which is high praise indeed. It also features some stunning string work from Richard Hughes and Isobel Andrews McCarroll.

The EP is completed by “Puttin’ On A Show”. The final track has a more poppy feel to it with the upbeat lyrical delivery and cheerful piano. This is probably the weakest song on the EP but by no means a bad song. It just has a tough act to follow with the strength of the three previous tracks.

This debut EP is fantastic and marks the arrival of a new prospect destined for big things in the near future. If you’re a fan of pure, raw folk/pop which allows you to hear every chord change, every piano key and every lyric clearly then this EP is definitely for you. Keep an eye out for A Happy Accident because you will be hearing about him for sure.
